The Smile Boston Project

This past summer I attended an ASMPAIGA social event in Cambridge, MA.  I struck up a wonderful conversation with a designer about my Revealed project, her chakra jewelry, and all those cool things in life.  She mentioned I should check out this project called Smile Boston by Bren Bataclan.

A few days later when I checked out this project I was amazed.  I gravitated towards it and had to reach out to the artist Bren Bataclan. Of course that meant becoming Facebook friends. :)  This project had a big effect on me.  What a simple project that has all the right intentions and energy around it.  And we all could use an extra reason to smile.  I know I can. :)

Here is a person that has been leaving paintings for people to take for free in public spaces (like on a park bench, train stations, etc) across the world since 2003 to make people smile all in addition to the amount of paintings he sells, murals and other commissioned work.  It feels so good to meet someone that has a wonderful project and is hugely successful with it.  Also, connecting with him and hearing the stories of people and how they were impacted by this project is very moving.

Learn more about the Smile Boston Project, also known as The Smile Project Campaign by watching the multimedia video I created.

Check out Bren Bataclan’s project and of course, buy a print.  I have one hanging in my house and it puts a smile on my face everyday. :)
